Common questions

Good to know.

Quick answers to what most guests ask before booking. For anything else, message us on WhatsApp — we usually reply in under an hour.

What's the minimum stay?

Three nights minimum year-round; five nights in high season (Dec–Feb and Jul–Aug). Longer-stay arrangements possible — get in touch and we'll work something out.

Is the villa sole-use?

Always. Solani is never shared with other guests — the entire four-bedroom property is yours for the duration of your stay, sleeping up to eight.

How do I get to Diani?

Daily 45-minute flights from Nairobi (NBO) land at Ukunda Airstrip (UKA), 12 minutes from the villa — we'll arrange your transfer. Mombasa International (MBA) is also an option, around 70 minutes away by road.

Is a private chef included?

Our chef is available on request, with menus agreed in advance — breakfast through dinner, from Swahili biryani to a five-course tasting. Chef labour and food cost are invoiced separately from the villa rate.

What's included in the rate?

Villa rental, daily housekeeping, fast Wi-Fi, the 24/7 villa manager, secure parking, and pool service. Food, drinks, chef labour, transfers, and excursions are additional — we keep the rate honest by not bundling things you may not want.

Are children welcome?

Absolutely. The villa is fully family-friendly — cot, high chair, kids' towels and pool floats on request at no charge. The pool has a shallow end. The Coral Room converts to a twin.

What's the cancellation policy?

Free cancellation up to 30 days before check-in. Within 30 days, a 50% refund. Within 7 days, the booking is non-refundable. Full terms are supplied at booking.

When is the best time to visit?

Diani is a year-round destination with sun every month. Long rains fall briefly in April–May. Peak dry season is Dec–Feb and Jul–Sep; the quiet shoulder months (March, June, Oct–Nov) offer the best rates and a stiller beach.
